BCCI Central Contract List 2025: The Cricket Control Board of India (BCCI) is going to release the Central Contract list soon for the upcoming annual year. The board will release the list after assessing the players’ performance in the Champions Trophy. Let me tell you that the list was released in February last year, but this time it was delayed due to the Champions Trophy. Last year, many players included in the BCCI’s contract list may be out of the list this time due to not participating in international matches.
These players can be out of BCCI Central Contract List
Avesh Khan, Rajat Patidar, KS Bharat etc. are the players who can be out of the Central Contract list of BCCI this time. Last year, all three players were kept in ‘C grade’. After joining the Central Contract, Rajat Patidar did not play international cricket in the last calendar year. Of course he performed brilliantly in the previous edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and was the second batsman to score the most runs but he did not get a place in the India vs England T20 series. This time Rajat Patidar, who captained RCB in IPL (IPL 2025), may be out of the Central Contract list of BCCI.
Bowler Avesh Khan can also be out of the Central Contract List. He took 6 wickets in 6 T20 matches played in 2024. He played his last ODI in 2023. There is a possibility that the charge may be out of the list this time. KS Bharat can also be excluded from the list, he played his last international match in February 2024.
Shardul Thakur can also be excluded from BCCI’s Central Contract List. By the way, his performance in the Ranji Trophy was excellent. He can be selected in the team for the Test series against England in June. Will have to see if he will be able to save his place in the list or not. Ravichandran Ashwin will also be out of the list as he has declared retirement from international cricket.
Shreyas Iyer can get space
Last year, Shreyas Iyer had a big name among the players who were out of the Central Contract list. He was taken out due to not taking domestic cricket seriously. Now after a brilliant performance in the Champions Trophy, he can be included in the BCCI Central Contract List.
