However, now a transplant is being done to SMS (Sawai Mansingh) Hospital. There is only 2 beds, where there is more than a year long waiting. In such a situation, many patients die in waiting. Many patients have to spend up to 40 lakh rupees in private hospitals.
So far, there have been only 150 transplants here in 15 years, after its operation, 500 patients will be able to be transplanted in a year.

The Bonmaro Transplant Center is being constructed at State Cancer Hospital. It is likely to start in July-August.
Right now the waiting of many patients leads to death. Bonmaro transplant is an important treatment for cancer patients. Due to cancer, the patient has to undergo chemotherapy or radiation therapy. During this time, cancer cells in the patient’s body are eliminated, but at the same time stem cells also end. These stem cells are made from the bonmiro present in the bones of the body. In such a situation, after completion of chemotherapy, healthy stem cells are transplanted into the person’s body. It is called Bonmaro Transplant or Stem Sells Transplant.
About two lakh average cancer patients appear in a year. Of these, twenty to twenty five percent of patients are of blood cancer. Ten to 15 percent of these are patients who require transplant.
Government hospitals of the state have only SMS facility of Bonmaro transplant. In such a situation, the patient has to go to the private center. Many patients are waiting till death.
Superintendent of Cancer Hospital, Dr. Sandeep Jasuja said- The first Bonmaro transplant of the state was done in the year 2009 at SMS Hospital. The transplant center remained closed for about 3 years. Then started from 2012. But due to low beds, so far 150 Bonmairo transplant has been done. Bonmaro transplant is a long cure. A patient has to remain admitted for one and a half months. Only then comes the number of another patient.
30 to 40 lakh expenditure in private hospital, patients will get benefits from new centers Due to prolonged waiting in a government hospital, the patient has to spend up to Rs 40 lakh in private hospitals. This expenditure is fixed based on different types of cancer and its treatment. Poor or medium people do not even reach the private center.

1. Waveting less, hopes for early treatment: The transplant unit in SMS Hospital has two beds and long waiting. If patients are also transplanted continuously, then only 15-20 transplant can be done in a year. The Bonmaro Transplant Unit to be built in the Cancer Hospital will be of 50 beds. In such a situation, 50 patients can be admitted and treated at once. This will reduce waiting, the number coming in the year will come in a few months.

2. 40 lakhs will not take, treatment will be free: Like a private center, the expenditure of millions of rupees will be saved. This treatment is included in the government’s Ayushman scheme. In this case, there is a free transplant. Those who do not have Ayushman card, can also avail free treatment through the support base of Rajasthan. At the same time, during immunotherapy, expensive injections of 4 lakhs are also used, that will also be free.
3. Treatment with modern technology: Transplant will be treated with modern technology. Carticells technique is new technology. It has also been started using it. World class medicines will be available at the center. There will be no shortage of medicines. There will be special monitoring of patients. Dr. Sandeep Jasuja told that the center will be with Hepa filter. Due to which there will be no risk of air infection. Also, there will be positive air pressure maintenance in the center so that the contaminated air outside does not come in.
4. The success rate of Bonmaro transplant will increase: Bonmaro is the most important in transplant, when donor has a bonmaro match. Human leukocyte antigen (HLA) match is also necessary. The possibility of HLA mating is 25% in the patient’s real brother and sister and 3 percent in parents. HLA can be transplanted to be 100 percent match. The state -of -the -art technology at the Dedicated Center is likely to increase the transplant success rate in both full and half -match situations.
70 staff including 10 doctors, tenders will be done soon for equipment Dr. Sandeep Jasuja informed that construction work is going on from the third floor of the hospital to 6 floors at a cost of 118 crores. The work of this center started in the year 2023. Right now its timeline is given till July-August. Tenders will be made soon for the purchase of equipment.
At the same time, the unit has also been demanded for staff. We have a demand for 70 staff. These will include 10 doctors and the rest will be included nursing and supporting staff. After starting, Bonmaro transplant of about five 500 patients in a year will be possible here.
Country’s third major cancer institute, first major Bonmaro Transplant Center Hospital Superintendent Dr. Sandeep Jasuja said that with 50 beds it will become the largest Bonmaro Medical Center in the country. So far, fifty -bed dedicated Bonmaro Transplant Center is nowhere in the country. At the same time, State Cancer Hospital will become the largest cancer hospital in the country’s first government sector, where 500 beds will be provided. As of now, AIIMS Delhi and Tata Memorial Hospitals are the same. AIIMS is under the center and the Tata Memorial institution operates.
Apart from this, this will be the third major hospital in the country in cancer treatment. Here patients will be treated with Carticell Technology (CAR T-Cell) along with Bonmaro Transplant.
Patients will be recorded online Dr. Sandeep Jasuja said that the record of all cancer patients of Rajasthan will be kept online. How many cancer victims are in the state, how many new patients are coming out, what treatment is going on. Online portal has been created to monitor all this. In this, government and private hospitals of every district will have to update information about cancer patients coming to OPD and recruiting cancer patients daily. With this process, the correct data of cancer patients will be available with the government.
