2. President Draupadi Murmu reached Slovakia

1. Registration date increased for Prime Minister Internship Scheme

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India has extended the date of registration to the second phase of the Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme (PMIS) to 12 April 2025. Earlier, the last date of registration was March 31, 2025.

Its main objective is to provide internship opportunities to 1 crore youth across the country in the next 5 years. Youth between 21 to 24 years can apply for this scheme. The applying candidate should pass at least 10th standard.

Under this scheme, graduate or professional qualification (such as CA) from major institutes like IIT and IIM will not be eligible. Also, the total income of the applicant’s family should not exceed 8 lakh rupees annually.

2. Copies of BA Semester Examination in Madhya Pradesh checked by peon

A video is very fast viral on social media. In this video, a middle -aged man is checking the copy of the exam. This man is not a professor but a peon of Shaheed Bhagat Singh PG College in Pipariya in Narmadapuram district. Surprisingly, for just Rs 5,000, the peon was entrusted with the task of checking BA copies.

This case is of January 2025, when the video went viral while examining the examination copies of Pannalal Patharia, a peon of Government Shaheed Bhagat Singh PG College.

According to media reports, the peon Pannalal Patharia had actually checked (evaluated) the answer seats given to the guest faculty Khushboo Pagare. Pannalal admitted in writing that he had taken Rs 5000 to check the copies.
