Trump Says Negotiations on “Dividing Up Lands” Between Moscow & Kyiv Underway, Hopes For Ceasefire Soon
U.S. President Trump said negotiations over the terms of “dividing up the lands” between Moscow and Kyiv are currently underway. “It’s being negotiated as we speak,” Trump told reporters on Friday, referring to a potential resolution to the territorial disputes between both sides. In the fall of 2022, four Ukrainian regions were annexed by Russia, while in 2014 Moscow annexed Crimea. Trump did not provide specifics on the ongoing talks but mentioned having had “very good discussions” with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
