Russian President Putin has announced a 3 -day ceasefire with Ukraine. This ceasefire will be applicable from 8 May. Putin has expected Ukraine to do the same. Earlier, Russia announced a day -long ceasefire on 20 April on the occasion of Easter.

This ceasefire is being done on the occasion of Russia’s 80th Victory Day. Russia organizes Victory Day Parade on 8 May every year as a celebration of a win over Germany in the Russia Second World War.

The Russian President’s Office Kremlin has said that this ceasefire is being done on humanitarian grounds. It will start on the middle of May 7-8 and the ceasefire will end midnight on 10-11 May.

Russia said- Kursk completely in our possession

The Russian army says that it has withdrawn the complete control over the western chair region of the country. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that all the efforts of Ukraine in the Kursk region have completely failed.

Russia’s top military commander Varri Garasimov said that the last village left in the possession of Ukrainian soldiers has also been re -acquired. This occurred after a sudden attack by Ukraine eight months ago.

Garasimov also claimed that more than 76,000 Ukrainian soldiers were killed or injured in the Kursk region. However, this claim has not been confirmed.

Ukraine has rejected this claim. Ukraine says that his soldiers are still operating in the Russian border region, and he has described Moscow claims as propaganda.

In the last months, the Ukrainian army had to face Russian attacks in Kursk

In the last few months, the Ukrainian army has faced heavy pressure in the Kursk region. The Ukrainian army has to retreat here due to 70 thousand Russian soldiers and heavy drone attacks. Russia is running a big campaign to regain the region.

The US-based Think-Tank Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said in the April 25 report- Russian forces have recently taken an edge near the international border in Kursk Oblast (Area), so that Ukrainian soldiers can be taken out of their last areas. ISW also stated that the fight continued in the northwest Belgorod region of Russia on 25 April.

Russia agreed- North Korean soldiers supported in war

During a video conference with Putin on Saturday, Russian Commander Valery Garasimov said that the last village of the Kursk region, Gourneal, had been freed from the Ukrainian army.

Garasimov also praised the courage of North Korean soldiers during the Russian counter attack. The first time Russia has accepted the involvement of North Korean soldiers in the army.

In response to this, Putin told Garasimov that Ukraine’s efforts had completely failed. Putin claimed that this would give Russia a way to move forward on other fronts.

The Russian army says that its troops have now taken several settlements of North-Eastern Sumi of Ukraine, which is located near Kursk.

Ukraine said- War continues in Kursk

At the same time, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army reacted to Telegram and said that the battlefield remains difficult. But he also emphasized that his soldiers are still maintaining their position in Kursk and continuing the attack in Belgorod region.

Ukraine started this intrusion last August to prevent Russia from deploying soldiers on the eastern front of Ukraine.

Trump said- Putin is seducing me, they do not want to stop war

Here, US President Donald Trump and Volodimir Jailonsky sat face to face in the Vatican on Saturday and discussed the ceasefire. Trump then accused Russian President Vladimir Putin that he ‘does not want to stop war’.

Here, the White House described Trump and Jailnsky’s meeting as ‘very useful’ before the funeral of Pope Francis. Jailonsky also said on X that this meeting was good and if the correct results are achieved then it can become historic.

This was the first meeting of the two leaders after a debate between Jailonsky and Trump in February at the White House. In a meeting at the White House, Trump and US Vice President JD Vance accused Jailonski of not being grateful to American help in the war against Russia.
