Cash, dollars and laptops seized by Punjab Police.
The Punjab Police, taking major action against the drug trade, has arrested two hawala operators in Amritsar rural area. The accused have been identified as Sukhjit Singh and Ranbir Singh. Both these accused are illegal financially funded by drug trafficking

According to the information issued by DGP Gaurav Yadav, the police were already informed that money is being transacted through hawala for drug smuggling in Amritsar and surrounding areas. When the police seized 561 grams of heroin, it was revealed during the investigation that Sukhjit Singh and Ranbir Singh were not only providing financial assistance to drug addicts, but were also trying to hide these transactions through hawala.

Recharge after arrest
After arresting both the accused, the police raided their hideouts, from where huge quantity of cash and other important evidence were recovered. In which the police seized Rs 17,60,000, US $ 4,000 and a laptop, with important information related to transactions.
Punjab Police strict action
The Punjab Police is constantly taking strict action against drug smugglers, their financial assistants and colleagues. Officials say that to completely eliminate drug business in the state, it is very important to uproot hawala financeing from the root. Police has made it clear that anyone involved in this illegal business will have to face serious consequences.
