A 26 -year -old woman was raped on Tuesday morning in a bus parked at a busy Swargate bus stand in Pune, Maharashtra. The incident took place at a distance of 100 meters from the police station. The accused has been identified by CCTV Marad, but has not been arrested.
The name of the accused is Dattatreya Ramdas. The police have formed 8 teams to arrest him. The accused already has a criminal record. The woman used to work in homes. She boarded a bus to go to her village. Angry people also vandalized the bus.
According to the police, the incident took place between 5.45 am to 6.30 am. The CCTV footage is seen talking to the accused woman. The victim said that the accused called him a sister. When the woman asked her about the bus going to the village, the accused took her to the bus. Just standing on one side, there was no light in it.
The woman said that she hesitated and asked that the lights were not burning, so she told her that other passengers were sleeping, so it is dark. As soon as she entered the bus, she closed the door and raped. He informed his partner about the incident. Both went and complained to the police.
