On the second day of the yatra i.e. tomorrow, PM Modi will participate in the Bimstec conference. After this conference, he can also meet Yunus Khan, the head of the interim government of Bangladesh. Yunus’s Chief Advisor Khalilur Rahman has expressed its possibility on Wednesday. This will be the first meeting of prominent leaders of the two countries after the change of power in Bangladesh last year.
Modi will also meet Raja Maha Waziralongkorne and Rani Suthida on Friday.
PM Modi can visit the famous Buddhist temple in Thailand On Thursday, PM Modi can also visit the historic Vat You Temple in Thailand. The Vat Pho Temple is located in Bangkok and is famous for its huge lying Buddha (Reclining Buddha) statue. Vata Pho is one of the oldest temples in Thailand. It has more than 1,000 Buddha statues and more than 90 stupas.
The agenda of negotiation between the two countries will be political, economic and commercial, defense, contact and security. At the same time, the issue of people being involved in fraudulent works in Myanmar in the name of jobs between the two countries will also arise.
This statue of Buddha is 46 meters long and 15 meters high. The statue is in nirvana posture and is covered with a gold layer. The length of its feet is 4.5 meters, on which 108 auspicious signs have been carved.

After India gained independence in 1947, the two countries started a formal relationship. In 2022, both of them celebrated the 75th anniversary of their relationship. When the world was divided between America and Russia during the Cold War, Thailand was also non -aligned like India.
Thailand India’s fourth big trade partner among ASEAN countries In the year 2021, Thai company Global Renewable Synergy Company Limited made the largest investment of about Rs 3880 crore in India’s renewable energy sector. Thailand is the fourth largest trading partner in India after Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia among the ASEAN countries.
In the last few years, Thailand has made a big investment in sectors such as India’s Infrastructure, Real Estate, Agro processing, electronics, automotive, food processing, hospitality and renewable energy.
Both countries have early harvest scheme agreement 2004 The Early Harvest Scheme (EHS) was signed between the two countries in September 2004 to promote bilateral trade, which includes 83 products under the Indo-Thiland Comprehensive Economic Economic Corporation Agreement.
Explain that the Early Harvest Scheme Scheme is a kind of business agreement, under which immediate tariffs of some goods or services are made free. While the remaining products are later left to tariff free.

More than 90% of the population of Thailand follows Therism Buddhism, whose roots are in India. Therefore, most of the tourists coming from Thailand travel to Buddhist pilgrimage centers. These include Bodh Gaya of Bihar, Sarnath in Uttar Pradesh and Sanchi of Kushinagar and Madhya Pradesh.

The area bordering Thailand, Myanmar and Laos is called the Golden Triangle. The area is known for smuggling drugs and has historically been one of the world’s largest opium productive areas.
Illegal drugs like heroin, opium, methmfetamine are smuggled from this region. These drugs are transported from here to India and South Asia. Apart from this, many criminal gangs and terrorist groups are active in this Golden Triangle, who do illegal money, weapons and human trafficking. India and Thailand are increasing security and intelligence cooperation to prevent this smuggling.
