Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas has called Hamas a dog’s child. In a speech at Ramalla on Wednesday, Abbas said that Hamas should release the hostages so that Israel does not get excuse to continue the war in Gaza.
Abbas said that stopping the massacre in Gaza is the first priority. It should be stopped, hundreds of people are being killed every day. Abbas appealed to Hamas to leave the weapon and become a political party and hand over the control of Gaza to the Palestinian Authority.
Abbas said this at the Central Council meeting of Palestine Authority. In this meeting, he will also declare the name of his successor. Hamas had controlled Gaza in 2007 by defeating Abbas’ Fatah party.
Israeli minister said- A grain of food will not be reached until the hostages are released
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katj said that until the Israeli mortgage is returned, a grain of food will not be allowed to reach Gaza. Katj said that Israel’s policy in this matter is very clear.
Israel has banned all humanitarian aid (food, water, medicines, oil) in the Gaza Strip. The blockade started on 2 March 2025. Israel took this step to pressurize Hamas to release 58 people hostage.
Israel believes that the help that reaches Gaza takes us, which does not lead to help to the general public.
Medicine Sans Frontiers (MSF) described Gaza as “mass grave for Palestinians”. Mahmud Shalabi, director of Medical Aid for Palestinians, said, “This is the worst situation in the last 18 months. Basic needs are not being met, and the attacks have started again.”
The Gaza Health Ministry said that, since the onset of Gaza conflict, more than 51,000 Palestinians have been killed, including more than half of women and children. There have been 1,600 more deaths since the ceasefire ended on 18 March.
Israel surrounded Gaza’s Rafa The Israeli army has cut Rafa’s contact with the rest of Gaza. Defense Minister Israel Katj confirmed this on 12 April. He said that the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) has captured the Morag Corridor, causing Rafa’s contact with the Gaza Strip. The Morag Corridor is a path in Southern Gaza that separates it from the Gaza Strip.
Katj threatened the people of Gaza and said that this is the last chance to drive away Hamas and to end the war by releasing all the hostages. If this does not happen, then all this will start happening in another area of Gaza.
Israel will now control Rafa Katj said that Rafa has now been converted to ‘Israeli Security Zone’. The Israeli security zone means the places that Israel considers and controls them for its national security. Rafa Crossing, Philadelfi Corridor, some areas of West Bank and Golan Heights fall under the Israeli security sector. These areas are controlled through the army.
Israel Katj said that the Netajarim Corridor that divides Gaza into two parts will also be expanded. Earlier this year, when there was a deal with the ceasefire, Israel left the Netajarim Corridor. But shortly after, Israel resumed the war and again took this corridor in its possession.
