Pakistan had pressurized the Name of The Resistance Front (TRF), which carried out the Pahalgam terror attack, to remove the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) statement. According to reports, Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confessed this in a statement in the Senate on Wednesday.
Pakistan is currently a temporary member of the United Nations Security Council. The consent of all members is necessary for the condemnation statement of the Security Council.
America proposes condemnation of attack
Ishaq Dar reported that the US had made a proposal to condemn the attack. He said that when I received a copy of the proposal, it was only written on Pahalgam and the name of The Resistance Forum (TRF) was taken for the attack.
Dar further said that we protested against it and said that Pakistan would not sign it until Jammu and Kashmir are also mentioned with Pahalgam and TRF’s name is not removed. Dar said that he did not sign the proposal for 2 days. During this time, he kept calling from many countries.
The United Nations Security Council issued a condemnation resolution on 25 April for the Pahalgam attack.
UNSC issued a proposal without TRF’s name
Ishaq Dar said that the leaders from all over the world kept saying that there will be allegations against Pakistan due to lack of condemnation proposal. Despite this, he remained adamant on his claim. Eventually the proposal was changed under the pressure of Pakistan and then the UNSC issued a statement on 25 April.
The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) condemned the Pahalgam terror attack on 25 April 2025. It killed 26 people. It expressed condolences to India and Nepal. UNSC said that terrorism is a big threat to international peace in every form and the culprits and their supporters of the attack should be punished.
However, in this statement, The Resistance Front (TRF), who took responsibility for the attack was not mentioned. The purpose of the Pahalgam attack was to incite communal tension targeting non-Muslims, but it was not mentioned in the statement.
4 days after taking responsibility TRF
The Pahalgam attack took place on 22 April. Shortly after this attack, TRF took responsibility for this and issued a statement saying that the Government of India is making Muslims from majority to minorities in Kashmir.
However, on 26 April, TRF retracted it. Organization spokesperson Ahmed Khalid had said that it is wrong to hold TRF responsible for the Pahalgam attack. Khalid said that his website was hacked.
TRF came into existence after removing Article 370
The organization came into existence in 2019. The government believes that this is Lashkar-e-Taiba’s proxy terrorist organization. Apart from the killing of soldiers and common citizens, these terrorist organizations have been involved in smuggling drugs and weapons from across the border.
‘The Registration Front’ (TRF) is a new name among the terrorist organizations of Jammu and Kashmir. After the removal of Article-370 from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019, its activity has increased. Security affairs experts say that ISI handlers from across the border raised the TRF with the help of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
According to former DGP SP Vaid, there is nothing new in TRF, just Jaish and Lashkar’s cadres have been given a new name. These names change under ISI’s strategy. For the first time after becoming the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front in 1990, a terrorist organization has been named non-Islamic.
Pakistan said- India can attack in 36 hours
Pakistan has claimed that India can take military action against it in the next 24-36 hours. Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Ataullah Tarar claimed this at a press conference late Wednesday night.
Tarar said that he has received reliable intelligence that India can do so on the pretext of Pahalgam incident. He said that Pakistan itself has been a victim of terrorism and understands the pain of this crisis in the true sense. We have always condemned it in the world.
Tarar said that if India makes any military attack, Pakistan will give a definite and tough answer to it. He said that we will protect Pakistan’s sovereignty and regional integrity at all costs. Read full news here …
