Group administrator was shot dead by a person angry at Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa state capital Peshawar for being removed from the WhatsApp group. Police said on Saturday that the incident took place in Regi, outskirts of Peshawar. So far, the accused is out of the grip of the police.
According to the police, WhatsApp Admin named Mushtaq Ahmed had dropped Ashfaq Khan from the group. After this there was a dispute between the two.
On Thursday, the two agreed to end the dispute together, but Ashfaq shot and killed Mushtaq as soon as he met. It is not yet known why Ashfaq was removed from the group.
Raids continue to catch the accused The deceased’s brother Humayun Khan told the media- I was present on the spot, but I did not know anything about the fight between them. There was some controversy between my brother and Ashfaq in a WhatsApp group, due to which he removed Ashfaq from the group.
After this Ashfaq got angry and shot my brother. No one in our family knew anything about the mutual dispute between the two.
The police have registered a complaint against Ashfaq. Raids continue to catch the accused.

In 2025, Pakistan was described as the second most terror -affected country in the world in 2025, the Global Terrorism Index (GTI) report released by Sydney -based Institute for Economics and Peace. According to the report, Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan are the most terrorist affected areas. Out of the total terrorist incidents across the country, 90% occurred in this area.
In the report, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan was described as Pakistan’s most dangerous terrorist organization for the second consecutive year. In 2024, the group carried out 482 attacks, causing 558 deaths, which is 91% higher than in 2023.
