Mufti Shah Mir, who helped to kidnap former Indian Navy official Kulbhushan Jadhav, has died in Balochistan, Pakistan. He was shot dead by unknown gun stripes on Friday night. Mufti Mir had helped Pakistani intelligence agency ISI in kidnapping Kulbhushan Jadhav from Iran.
On Friday night, he was coming out of the mosque after Namaz. Then the bike riders ambushed him and attacked him several times. According to a report by Pakistani newspaper Dawn, he was rushed to the hospital after being shot, where he was declared dead.
Mufti Mir Islamic fundamentalist party Jamiat was a member of Human Trafficking (Human trafficking) and arms smuggling.
Shah Mir used to work non -laws under the guise of being Mufti.
Pakistan arrested Jadhav for espionage charges The Pakistani Army said on 3 March 2016 that he was arrested from Kulbhushan Jadhav from Balochistan province. Pakistan accused him of espionage and involvement in anti -national activities.
Pakistan released a video, in which Jadhav allegedly admitted that he was working for the Indian intelligence agency RAW and was involved in spreading instability in Balochistan and Karachi. However, India rejected it and described it as a forced statement.
India said that Pakistan’s intelligence agencies kidnapped Jadhav from Iran. Jadhav was doing business in Iran after retirement.
Jadhav sentenced to death, currently jailed
Jadhav was prosecuted in Pakistan’s military court. On 10 April 2017, the military court sentenced him to death on charges of espionage, terrorism and anti -national activities. India strongly condemned the decision and accused them of not taking transparency in the case.
In May 2017, India moved to the International Court of Court (ICJ) and accused Pakistan of violating the Vienna Treaty. India argued that Jadhav was not given a fair hearing and his rights were violated.
ICJ ordered Jadhav’s hanging and ordered to ensure his safety till the final decision. In July 2019, ICJ ruled in favor of India and directed Pakistan to reconsider Jadhav’s sentence. Since then, Pakistan has not taken any decision on this.
Kulbhushan Jadhav is currently lodged in Pakistan jail.
