The army said- Our soldiers responded to firing. The situation is under control and it is being strictly monitored. The Indian Army appeals to maintain the DGSMO agreement of 2021 to maintain peace on LOC.

3 encounters between terrorist-security in 11 days in Kathua
In the last 11 days, there have been three encounters of militants of security forces in Kathua. The first encounter took place on 23 March in Hiranagar sector. Security forces had reported the hiding of 5 terrorists associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed’s proxy organization People’s Anti Fascist Front, but they managed to escape.
The encounter took place for the second time on 28 March. In which 2 terrorists were killed. During this period, 4 soldiers of Special Operation Group (SOG) Tariq Ahmed, Jaswant Singh, Jagbir Singh and Balwinder Singh were martyred. Apart from these, three soldiers including DSP Dheeraj Singh were injured. He is undergoing treatment.
The third encounter took place near the Panjatirthi temple in Kathua on the night of 31 March. Three terrorists were reported to be hiding in the area. A terrorist was also killed, but did not officially confirm.
According to Army’s Rising Star Corps, suspicious activity was reported in the area on the night of 31 March, after which the army conducted a search operation campaign in the wild areas of Rui, Juthana, Valley and Sanyal of Rajbagh as well as parts of Bilawar.
The encounter started after firing from the terrorists in Panjatirthi. The security forces laid siege to the area overnight, so that 3 terrorists hiding in the forest could not run away. The Kashmir Police is looking for terrorists with the help of NSG, CRPF and BSF Snifer Dogs and Drone.

A day earlier on March 30, DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma said- The operation will continue until the last terrorist is killed. He appealed to the people of the area adjacent to the border to inform the security forces immediately about any suspicious activity.
DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma said-

The operation continues. As long as there is a single terrorist left, the Jammu and Kashmir Police will stand on its mission. Our force is committed to the elimination of terrorism and the security of Jammu and Kashmir.
March 28: 2 terrorists killed in encounter, 4 soldiers also martyred

Police said- terrorists did not rob weapons, ignore rumors
The Jammu and Kashmir Police said on March 29 that terrorists did not take any weapon during an encounter in a two-day encounter in a remote wild area of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. The police spokesman had said that all the weapons and other items of the four policemen killed were recovered.
The spokesperson had said that some anti-national elements are spreading rumors of taking away the weapons of our martyrs in Operation Safian on social media. These claims are false. All the weapons and goods of the martyrs have been recovered.
23 March: Terrorists took a family hostage, but they escaped
On March 23, a group of terrorists in Hiranagar sector surrounded by security forces, but they managed to escape. It is believed that they are the same terrorists who were seen from Sanyal and were seen near Jakhole village.

Jakhole village is about 30 km from Hiranagar sector. As soon as the information was received, the security forces surrounded the area, after which the encounter started.
