Bollywood celebs are raging on the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. Meanwhile, the director of Uri: The Surgical Strike has said that they need Kashmir and we have their heads. Obviously, Pakistan is being talked about here, because Pakistani terrorists were also involved in the attack. At the same time, the director of The Kashmir files has also given an example of his films.
Vivek Agnihotri has written from her social media account, communal violence leaves a lot behind her. It leaves an emptiness. The houses turn into ashes, the lives are shattered, the families can never be one again. Pain is not just physical, it is a slow, painful sorrow. A mother is searching for her son. A man whose hands sometimes wakes up for blessings, they are now trembling with anger. This is the human price of religious fundamentalism, where faith becomes a weapon and differences become death sentence.

Vivek further wrote, the fanatism is not silent or denying. This is awareness. I use my art to create awareness. Art that does not shy away from truth. My films are not just stories, they are a place where absence speaks loudly than appearance. The absence of mercy, logic and simple humanity. I compose with my absence. Not for shocking but reminiscent. What we have lost to show the mirror to it. These are not comfortable movies. They raise questions that we want to avoid, what are we becoming. How many lives before seeing the pattern. My cinema is an opposition, this is mourning, memory. Because when we face darkness, only then we can start fighting against it.
Aditya Dhar, director of the film Uri: The Surgical Strike on the Pulwama attack, has written, he needs Kashmir, we have their heads.

Producer said- Hindus have been targeted
Abhishek Aggarwal, producer of the film The Kashmir files, has also strongly condemned the terror attack, saying that Hindus have been targeted in the attack. He has said, tourists were brutally killed in Pahalgam, they were asked to forcefully open their pants to see if they were circumcised or not. If not done, he was shot. This is clearly a killing of Hindus, nothing else.
This is not new. It started with the targeted massacre and migration of Kashmiri Pandits. When we created ‘The Kashmir Files’, after three decades, the truth of our content was questioned, while reality was more frightening than the film.
What happened in Pahalgam is a repetition of history. Tourists from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Gujarat and Maharashtra were targeted just because they were Hindus. Not because of their caste or language.
We saw the same hatred in Murshidabad, 400 Hindu families had to flee, Hargovind Das and his son Chandan Das were killed only for making idols. Now we are bringing ‘The Delhi Files – The Bengal Chapter’, so that the root of this danger can be exposed. Whether it is Murshidabad or Kashmir, the pattern is the same. If we show the truth, then people call it a lie, while the truth is in front of them.

The film The Kashmir files is the story of the struggle of Kashmiri Pandits.
