Kashmir terror attack: A meeting of the Cabinet Committee of Security Affairs (CCS) was held on Wednesday (April 23, 2025) under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Apart from PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and NSA Ajit Doval were also present in this meeting. All -party meeting has been called in Parliament at 6 pm on Thursday (April 24, 2025).
CCS was given detailed information about the terrorist attack on Tuesday (April 22, 2025). The CCS strongly condemned the attack and expressed its deep condolences to the families of the victims and hoped for the injured to recover early. It was told in the meeting that many governments around the world have received strong expressions of support and solidarity, who have clearly condemned this terrorist attack.
Pakistan’s nefarious act irritated by development in Kashmir
The CCS recorded its appreciation for such feelings, which reflects zero tolerance towards terrorism. The CCS was brought to the forefront of the border of the terrorist attack in briefing. It was noted that this attack took place in view of the successful organization of elections in the Union Territory and its continuous progress towards economic growth and development.
Indus Water Treaty postponed with immediate effect
Accepting the seriousness of this terrorist attack, the CCS has taken many important decisions. According to these decisions, the Indus Water Treaty of 1960 will be postponed with immediate effect, until Pakistan relinquish and irreversibly give up its support for cross -border terrorism. The integrated check post attic will be closed with immediate effect.
Pakistani citizens will not be allowed to travel to India under the SAARC Visa Rebate Scheme (SVES) Visa. Any SVES visa issued to Pakistani citizens in the past is considered canceled. Currently, under the SVES visa, any Pakistani citizen present in India has 48 hours to leave India.
