Open Wheel Showdown Sees 126 Entries On Day 1

LAS VEGAS — A whopping 126 entries were received on the opening day of registration for the third Open Wheel Showdown, which is scheduled Nov. 6-8 at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Not only were entries received for the headlining $50,000-to-win winged sprint car main event, but also for the supermodified, modifed, Legend car and Bandolero classes.

Fifty-three entries were received for the winged sprint car event headlined by promoter Davey Hamilton Jr. and the winners of the first two runnings of the event —Aaron Willison and Kody Swanson.

Entries were also received from Bobby Santos, Jake Trainer, Bryan Gossel, Natalie Waters, Joe Ligouri, JoJo Helberg, Evan Margeson, Jim Waters, Ryan Litt, Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Colton Bettis among others.

Thirty-seven entries were received for the modified division, including that of defending race winner Aaron McMorran.
