This report also includes data of deaths in Pakistan. It states that there were 11 thousand deaths in 2023 in Pakistan. That is, an average of 30 deaths every day. According to data, 75,000 women died in Nigeria. This is 28.7% of the total pregnant women in the world.
Pregnant women died 78% in India in 23 years
Between 2000 and 2023, the maternal mortality in India has fallen by 78%. According to WHO, MMR has decreased by 40% worldwide between 2000 and 2023 due to an increase in health facilities, but the pace of improvement has slowed down since 2016.
