New Sponsor For Iowa IndyCar Weekend

LONG BEACH, Calif. — IndyCar has solidified it Iowa roots by announcing Sukup as the new sponsor of the NTT IndyCar Series weekend at Iowa Speedway.

From 2022 to 2024, Hy-Vee, a supermarket chain based in West Des Moines, Iowa, was the title sponsor. Hy-Vee will continue as one of the event sponsors after announcing earlier this year that it would no longer be the title sponsor.

Sukup, a grain bin manufacturer that produces other manufactured units used by farmers throughout the Midwest.

Sukup Manufacturing Co. is the world’s largest family-owned and operated manufacturer of grain storage, drying and handling equipment, and steel structures. The company is headquartered in America’s heartland – Sheffield, Iowa – and covers over one million square feet of office, manufacturing and warehouse space.

The company employs more than 700 people, making it one of the largest employers in North Central Iowa.

Three generations of the family are active in the business.

“Sukup has built itself from a successful family-owned company into a trusted, innovative and dedicated national brand committed to delivering quality products to its customers while supporting communities across the state of Iowa,” said Kristin Stepinski, General Manager of Sukup IndyCar Race Weekend. “Iowa is the leader in agricultural technology and Sukup sets the pace for innovation and world-class manufacturing in the industry.

“We are excited to partner with one of Iowa’s leading companies for Sukup IndyCar Race Weekend at Iowa Speedway.”

Sukup has had a long tradition of supporting motorsports and one of the most popular summer events in the state of Iowa as Sukup (SUE-cup) Manufacturing Co. will become the title sponsor of the annual IndyCar race weekend at Iowa Speedway, set for July 11-13.

It features the only NTT IndyCar doubleheader weekend on the 2025 schedule, Sukup IndyCar Race Weekend has become one of the most anticipated and action-packed events in racing.

Tickets for the event at Iowa Speedway will go on sale on Tuesday, April 15.

Sukup has been a dedicated supporter of the IndyCar event at Iowa Speedway for many years. The company has sponsored the Sukup 100 Indy NXT by Firestone race at Iowa in the past and the community-focused manufacturer has been a longtime sponsor of IndyCar Pole Day during previous events at Iowa Speedway.

Sukup’s history with IndyCar at Iowa and the company’s commitment to becoming the title sponsor of the 2025 event highlights their dedication to both the sport and to hosting one of the most popular annual events in their home state.

The 2025 Sukup IndyCar Race Weekend will officially get underway on Friday, July 11, with the return of Free Family Friday. This exciting day will wave the green flag on a thrilling three-day festival of speed with free gate admission for all fans.

On Saturday, July 12, the rising stars of Indy NXT by Firestone will host the first race of the weekend on the Iowa Speedway short oval. The first NTT IndyCar Series race will then take the green flag on Saturday afternoon.

The wheel-to-wheel racing action at the “Fastest Short Track on the Planet” will continue on Sunday, July 13 with the second and final NTT IndyCar Series race of the weekend.

As Sukup Manufacturing Co. celebrates its 62nd anniversary in 2025, the company looks forward to its first opportunity to serve as title sponsor of IndyCar Race Weekend at its home track.

“As the world’s largest family-owned manufacturer of grain storage, drying, and handling equipment, we’re proud to support an event that celebrates innovation, performance, and the future of agriculture,” said Steve Sukup, President and CEO of Sukup Manufacturing Co. “IndyCar’s continued commitment to using ethanol in its 100 percent renewable racing fuel showcases the power and potential of agricultural products in high-performance environments.

“It’s a natural fit for us to partner with a series that reflects the values of our customers and the communities we serve.”
