In the first 3 matches, there has been a viewership of 25.3 crore on Star Sports. In the first weekend of any IPL season, so much viewership has come for the first time. The total watch time of these has been 2.770, which is 22 percent more than last year.

The IPL 2025 started with the Kolkata Knight Riders vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore match. This opening match was played on Saturday, 22 March. There were 2 matches on Sunday. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals were face to face in the first match. The second match was Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians.
In these 3 matches, 137 crore views have come on Geographstar. For the first time in the first weekend of IPL, such viewership has come on digital platforms. This is 40 percent more than last year. There was a watch time of 2,186 in the digital platform.

RCB is present at the top in the points table
