The meeting of the National Security Committee has started in Pakistan. This meeting is being chaired by PAK PM Shahbaz Sharif. The meeting includes top officials and ministers including Army Chief Asim Munir.
The meeting has been called after the CCS meeting held in India last night. India convened a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) on Wednesday night after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
In this meeting chaired by PM Modi, India has taken 5 major decisions against Pakistan. In this, the 65 -year -old Indus Water Treaty has been stopped. Attari check post has been closed. The visa was discontinued and the High Commissioners are removed.
According to media reports, the Government of Pakistan can cancel the Shimla agreement with India in 1972.
What is the Shimla Agreement?
The Shimla Agreement was signed between India and Pakistan on 2 July 1972. This bilateral agreement was signed by the then Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi and the then President of Pakistan (later became Prime Minister) Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
The agreement was reached after the Indo-Pak war of 1971. Pakistan had to face defeat in this war and more than 90,000 soldiers were occupied by India.
India handed over ‘Persona Non Grata’ note to Pakistani diplomat late night
The Government of India summoned Pakistan’s top diplomat Saad Ahmed Varaich in Delhi late on Wednesday night and handed over the official note of ‘Persona Non Grata’ against his military diplomats. They have to leave India within a week.
‘Persona Non Grata’ means ‘rejected person’. It is a Latin Sentence. It is used for a person who is not allowed to live or come in a country. It is usually used in diplomatic cases.
