The Nandan Kanan Express train going from Anand Vihar to Puri was divided into two parts of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay (PDDU) Junction of Chandauli in UP. The coupling of the sleeper coach S4 of the train broke, causing the train to be divided into two parts. The incident occurred at the yard, about 6 km from PDDU Junction at 9.30 pm on Monday night.
As soon as the accident happened, there was chaos in the train. However, due to low speed of the train, a big accident was averted. The train was brought back to PDDU Junction. After this, the broken coupling coach was cut and separated. Then the train was dispatched at 12:30 pm.

Both parts of the train were brought to the platform.
Please tell that Nandan Kanan Express reached PDDU Junction with a delay of three hours from 06.25 pm in its scheduled time. The train left for Gaya from platform number one at 9:30 pm. Meanwhile, the coupling of the sleeper coach number S4 of the train broke. This increased six coaches including the engine while 15 coaches including AC coaches, guard bogies were left behind.
As soon as the incident happened, the guard informed the loco pilot. The pilot stopped the train. Both parts of the train were brought back to platform number 7 and 8 of DDU Junction. Railway officials took immediate action and separated the S4 coach from the train. All the passengers traveling in this coach were seated in another coach.

The passenger said-the accident averted due to low speed speed.
Tarabhdodas, who was traveling by train, told that as soon as the train came out of DDU Junction, the accident occurred after about 15 minutes. All passengers got nervous. The train stopped after going a little distance. Then the train was brought back. We kept sitting for three hours. The speed of the train was low, so a big accident was averted. Otherwise a big accident could have happened.
SK Singh, station manager of DDU Junction, said that the train is spent at night from DDU Junction. On going 6 km away, it was divided into two parts. The train was corrected by bringing back to the junction. No passenger has suffered any harm. The train was dispatched after three hours.
