More than 50 houses of a Dalit settlement caught fire in Muzaffarpur, Bihar on Wednesday. In the accident, 5 people, including 4 children, have died scorched. At the same time, 15 children are missing. The incident is of Rampur Money Panchayat of Bariyarpur police station area.

It is being told that a fire broke out in Golak Paswan’s house due to a short circuit and on seeing it spread to the entire slum area.
Muzaffarpur DM Subrata Kumar Sen told,
A sudden short circuit was on fire in the house in Golak Paswan in the village. By the time people could understand something, the fire spread very fast due to the strong wind. Wrap the fire was faster. Due to which the children got scared. Could not get out and caught fire.
The DM further stated that ‘4 children and one person have died due to fire. SDM has been sent on the spot. The family of the deceased will be compensated and arrangements have been made to eat and drink people for 2 days.

Local people said that 3 children of a person named Raju Paswan have died scorched. These children are 12 years, eight years and nine years old. There has been chaos after the incident. The team of firefighting is engaged in the rescue by reaching the spot. Dozens of houses were burnt to ashes. Police is sending the body to SKMCH for postmortem.

The villager Rakesh told that ‘when the fire broke out, it was given to the police station, but no one reached the spot. The fire was almost under control by the fire team when the fire team also reached the spot. Four children have died due to scorching. However 15 children are still missing. These children are being investigated.
