Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is making a comeback in Bollywood after eight years. The teaser of his upcoming film ‘Abir Gulal’ has been released today (April 1), which is an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the fans. However, as soon as information about the release of the film came to light, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has started opposing it and threatened not to release the film in Maharashtra.

MNS spokesperson Ameya Khopkar said in a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, ‘We came to know about the release of this film today, when the film’s makers announced it. But we are clearly saying that we will not allow this film to be released in Maharashtra, because it has the presence of a Pakistani actor. We will not allow such films to be released in Maharashtra under any circumstances. We are collecting more information related to this film and then we will put our full statement on it.

Senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam said about Fawad Khan’s film, ‘India has a large number of hatred from Pakistan. When a film is released from Pakistan, Indian people do not like to watch it. It is different to watch a single film for a minute, but Pakistan’s artist films are not very popular in Indian audiences. That is why the stars of Pakistan could never succeed in India.
I would advise Pakistanis to explore the market of India to work in their own country.
If the central government has made a policy, it should be implemented. I believe that the government should decide whether Pakistan’s films will come to India or not. Whether or not the artists of Pakistan should get permission to work in India, it should also be the decision of the government.
Fawad Khan’s previous film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ was also opposed by MNS
Prior to the return of Fawad Khan, there was a lot of controversy about his film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’. The MNS had opposed the release of this film in India and Raj Thackeray opposed it saying that he would not allow any Pakistani artist film to be released in Maharashtra. Now the same story is being repeated with ‘Abir Gulal’.

Fawad Khan and Vani Kapoor starrer The teaser of this romantic comedy film was released on Tuesday. In this teaser, Fawad can be seen showing his singing talent in front of Vani Kapoor. The scene has been shot in a car stuck in traffic jams in the rain of London. At the end of the teaser, Vani asks Fawad, ‘Are you flirting with me?’ In response, Fawad says, ‘Do you want?’
The shooting of the film started in London on 29 September, and it was Aarti S.K. Bagri has directed. Its producers are Vivek Aggarwal, Avantika Hari and Rakesh Sippy. In the film, many magnificent actors from India and UK will be seen in supporting roles.
Let me tell you, Fawad Khan started his career in Bollywood with ‘Sundar’ in 2014, after which he acted in films like ‘Kapoor & Sons’ (2016) and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ (2016). Now after eight years, he is ready to leave his mark again in Bollywood.
Ever since the release of the teaser of the film, discussions about the pair of Fawad Khan and Vani Kapoor on social media have intensified. However, MNS is protesting against the release of the film, in such a situation, it will be seen whether the return of Fawad will get a chance to reach theaters in India.
