Jakub Mensik β all he does is win.
The 19-year-old, who won his maiden Masters 1000 title in Miami on March 31st, has not skipped a beat on the red clay. On Tuesday he made short work of Alexander Bublik, 6-3 6-2 in 53 minutes, to become the fifth teenager to reach the Madrid Open quarterfinals.

Mensik stretches his Masters winning streak to nine victories and becomes the first player since Daniil Medvedev in 2019 to reach the quarterfinals in his next ATP Masters event after winning his first Masters title in the previous one.
23rd-ranked Mensik improves to 17-7 on the season, and he is currently up to No.20 in the current ATP live rankings. He will face Francisco Cerundolo next.
During the contest, Mensik received some high praise from Bublik.
βHeβs so good,β Bublik told umpire Mohammed Layhani after the handshake. The Kazakhstani also went into a monologe, espousing the talents of the Czech teen.
“Remember when tennis was easy? Five years ago, it was super easy to play tennis. You had a bunch of random people in the Top 50, barely moving. Now this guy [Mensik] is not even Top 10. The **** is that?”-Alexander Bublik #MMOpen pic.twitter.com/kwkiiYcmeA
