The BSP supremo had removed Akash from all the party posts a day earlier and said that he is not his successor.
He had said, ‘I will not have any successor in the party till my life and last breath. For me, party and movement are first, family and relationships come later. As long as I survive, I will continue to carry forward the party with full honesty. ‘
He successor 2 times in 15 months
Akash is the son of Mayawati’s youngest brother. He was declared a successor 2 times in 15 months, but removed both times. First made successor on December 10, 2023. On May 7, 2024, all responsibilities were taken away due to misunderstanding.
On 23 June 2024, he succeeded again and also handed over the responsibility of the National Coordinator, but on 2 March 2025, he again snatched all the responsibilities from him. On March 3, he was dropped from the party itself.

I respect each of his decisions. I stand with each of his decisions. The exam is difficult and the fight is long. Like a true worker of Bahujan Mission and Movement, I will continue to work with full devotion for the party and mission. I will continue to fight for the rights of my society till the last breath.
Nephew Akash Anand did not reach the meeting on Sunday (tomorrow). The chair installed for him was later removed.
Mayawati had snatched all the posts from Akash on 2 March, on Sunday, March 2, Mayawati said in a meeting with BSP workers in Lucknow, ‘I want to tell that now we have decided to have our children’s relationship in non-political families. The BSP supremo gave an ultimatum to nephew Akash on 16 February. It was said, ‘The real successor of the BSP will be the same, who like Kanshi Ram, raising every sorrow and touts and fought for the party till the last breath and continue the party movement forward.’
On December 10, 2023, Mayawati made Akash a successor during a meeting of leaders of UP-Uttarakhand.

On February 12, 18 days ago, Mayawati also dropped the nephew Akash’s father -in -law Ashok Siddharth and his close Nitin Singh. It was taken on factionalism and indiscipline in the action organization.

For the first time in the 2022 Himachal assembly elections, Akash Anand’s name came on the list of star campaigners.
Akash has studied Master of Business Administration (MBA) from London. Akash is married to Dr. Pragya, daughter of former BSP Rajya Sabha member Ashok Siddharth.
