Mariah Carey has announced a 20th-anniversary reissue of her acclaimed comeback album, The Emancipation of Mimi. The new edition arrives May 30 via Def Jam. The expansive 5xLP vinyl box set release includes the original 2005 album, the subsequent Ultra Platinum Edition, and a slew of new remixes from the likes of Kaytranada and Esentrik. Today, Carey has released the Kaytranada remix of “Don’t Forget About Us.” Check it out below.
The box set also features dozens of bonus tracks, instrumentals, a capellas, and edits, culled from various CD singles and maxi singles. Everything is housed in a slipcase, along with a 28-page booklet with photos of Carey and a letter from the singer to her fans. A deluxe 2xLP vinyl set will also be released, as well as a digital deluxe edition, featuring a selection of songs from the box set, plus additional tracks exclusive to digital.
