Know which goods were sold fake
1. Fake Ghee: In Mahakumbh, a large number of devotees buy pure ghee and milk material for Bhandare and Prasad after bathing, but the business of fake milk ran on a large scale here. A conversation with a shopkeeper revealed that fake packets are being sold in the name of branded desi ghee. They are packed with vegetable ghee or cheap oil. A shopkeeper told off record-

Brother, real ghee is Rs 700-800 per kg, but people ask for cheap. Therefore, it gets ‘branded’ ghee for Rs 300-400.
2. Fake Rudraksha and sandalwood fraud: Devotees buy a large number of Rudraksha and sandalwood for worship at the Sangam. Fake goods were also sold in it. We ourselves bought a ‘authentic’ Rudraksha from a shopkeeper for 500 rupees. When it was shown to the expert, it came to know that it was made of plastic, a slight polish from above.
Similarly, yellow mango wood colored in the name of sandalwood was sold. A local shopkeeper confessed that fake essence is used many times to bring the fragrance of real sandalwood.

In Mahakumbh, plastic was polished and sold on Rudraksha.
3. Branded shoes and slippers and clothing copy: Many people roam the markets in the hope of buying branded clothes and shoes cheaply in Mahakumbh. We went to some stalls and investigated. Saw, fake shoes of many well-known companies are being sold here for 500-600 rupees. These shoes with big brand people like ‘Nike’, ‘Puma’, ‘Adidas’ are actually cheap products made by local companies.
When we asked a shopkeeper whether they are real or not, So he said laughing …

Brother, what is seen, he sells. Real comes 5000, who will sell the brand here in 500?

Copies of companies’ shoes were also sold a lot.
4. Fake Branded Bag: Many devotees in Mahakumbh buy many branded bags like HP, American Tourist, Sky Bag, but they also become a big source of cheating. We investigated this fake bag at some stalls. It was found that local shopkeepers are selling these bags by putting duplicate logos. There was no real bag in them.
We talked to a shopkeeper Raja from Delhi about this. He told that there is a ban at the leather selling fair, so I am selling bags with raxin. This bag is also cheaper. The price of the original bag is 700-800 rupees, no one will buy. This is the reason why I am selling cheap and duplicate bags.

A copy of the bags of branded companies was sold at the fair.
Difficult to check every shop When we wanted to talk to the local administration on this matter, there was no concrete answer. Although an official said on the condition of anonymity that we get complaints, but it is difficult to investigate every shop in such a big fair.
