MADERA, Calif. — The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Madera Speedway have joined forces for the new Silver & Gold Modified Series this year.
Three races each will be held in the Silver State and the Golden State toward the new six-race open Modified championship for the West Coast.
The first five rounds will pay $2,000 to win while the championship round will pay $7,500 to the victor. Teams will have the option of a throwaway race, with the standings encompassing the best five finishes. All six races will be 75 laps.
A simple open Modifieds rulebook based on the Open Wheel Showdown book from 2024 will be utilized. Promoters Kenny Shepherd and T.J. Clark will combine forces for this exciting new series, launching April 19 in Las Vegas on Low Budget TV, part of the SPEED SPORT TV platform.
All three Las Vegas races will be streamed by SPEED SPORT.
The full lineup of Las Vegas dates are April 19, Sept. 13 and a to-be-announced date with the major year-end event, the Davey Hamilton Jr.’s Open Wheel Showdown. Madera’s dates coincide with major televised races including May 31 and July 19 with the Pro Late Model and Jr. Late Model Series and Aug. 16 with the Olga’s California Dream 100 for Pro Mini Stocks.
