An army soldier was injured in a firing crossing border in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district in Jammu. The jawan has been identified as Man Kumar Bega. He belongs to the Gorkha Regiment.
Official sources said on Wednesday that there was a sniper attack from across the border. Loc also blasted, followed by three rounds of firing. At present, the army has started search operation in the area.
This is the first incident of firing on LoC in the last 20 days. In fact, on 21 February, there was a flag meeting between the forces of India and Pakistan. The meeting was held at Chaka Da Bagh (LOC Trade Center) in Poonch sector. In which officers of brigadier rank of both armies attended.
In the last four years, there was the first such meeting between the two countries. The last flag meeting took place in 2021. Sources said that the meeting had agreed between the two sides to maintain peace on the border and ceasefire.

11 February 2025: IED blast near LoC, 2 soldiers martyred, one injured IED blast occurred in Laloli area near LOC in Akhnoor sector of Jammu district. In this, two army soldiers were killed. The blast took place on February 11 at around 3:50 pm in Bhattal area when army personnel were on patrol. Sources associated with the army claimed that the names of the martyred soldiers were Captain KS Bakshi and Mukesh.
4 February 2025: Army killed 7 Pakistani intruders

The Indian Army killed 7 Pakistani intruders. In media reports, sources were quoted as saying that the incident took place on the night of 4 February near the Krishna Valley in Poonch district when an attempt was made to infiltrate near LOC. Sources claimed that the Indian Army had planning to attack forward post.
14 January 2025: Landmine Blast near LoC, 6 soldiers injured

On January 14, 6 jawans of Gorkha Rifles were injured in the Landmine Blast near LoC in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. The blast took place in Makri area of Bhavani sector. A contingent of soldiers was patrolling near Khamba Fort. At the same time, a jawan’s leg accidentally fell on the land mine.
