The National Conference and Congress are in alliance in Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah denied the possibility of an alliance between BJP and National Conference (NC). He said- There is no question of alliance with BJP.
Mari political ideology and priorities are completely different, especially about Jammu and Kashmir. There is no possibility of partnership nor need.
Abdullah, who arrived to attend the budget session of the assembly, said this in response to a question. In fact, BJP MLA RS Pathania had indicated the Jammu and Kashmir alliance.
He had said that we are ready to join hands with the National Conference for the interests and development of Jammu and Kashmir. Everyone will tell time in future.

Despite the alliance, Congress is not in government There are 42 NC MLAs and 6 Congress MLAs in the 90 -seat assembly. However, the Congress is not included in the government. Four independent MLAs announced support to NC after the election results. After this, Omar said that now our number has increased to 46. After this, the Congress did not join the government and decided to support from outside.
Omar had said- India block should be abolished About two months ago, Omar Abdullah spoke of ending the India Alliance. He had said that there was no meeting after the Lok Sabha elections. If the alliance was till the Lok Sabha elections, it should be abolished. It has no agenda nor any leadership.
However, his father and NC chief Farooq Abdullah had said that we are not with the BJP nor we have any connection with him. India alliance is permanent. This is for every day and every moment.
The last meeting of the India alliance was held on 1 June 2024.
Elections are to be held in 4 Rajya Sabha seats Elections are to be held soon in 4 Rajya Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the seats won in the elections, two Rajya Sabha seats can go to the NC-Congress alliance and one BJP account. NC President Farooq Abdullah can be sent to Rajya Sabha. Due to poor health, he refused to contest the assembly elections.
Elections can be held on the remaining one seat. Who will share this seat in the election, they will decide the political equation of that time. The same situation was also created in 2015. Then the ruling PDP-BJP got one seat each.
The NC then supported the Congress candidate (now Democratic Progressive Azad Party leader) Ghulam Nabi Azad. The fourth seat came to the account of the PDP-BJP alliance after the election.
