Tehran has condemned the move as a “hostile approach” and accused Washington of lacking sincerity in its call for dialogue. The sanctions target a businessman, Asadoollah Emamjomeh, and his network, which allegedly evaded U.S. restrictions to ship millions in Iranian crude.
