US immigration officials arrested an Indian student Badar Khan Suri from Virginia on Monday night. Suri is accused of spreading propaganda in support of Hamas in the US. US President Donald Trump is taking action against student activists opposing foreign policy.

Assistant Secretary in the US Home Safety Department, Trisia McLaglin, posted on X and alleged that Suri was actively promoting Hamas and promoting anti -Jewish spirit on social media. It can be deported from America.

Indian student’s visa canceled for supporting Hamas

The visa of Indian student Ranjani Srinivasan, studying at Columbia University in America, was canceled this month. The US Home Safety Department (DHS) has alleged that Srinivasan was involved in ‘promoting violence-violence’ and in the activities supporting Hamas. Ranjani has left the US after the visa was canceled.

According to DHS, Ranjani received admission to PHD in Urban Planning of Columbia University under F-1 student visa. His visa was canceled by the US State Department on 5 March. Ranjani then left America on 11 March.
