Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that Pakistan has no right to rhetoric in India’s internal affairs.
India has dismissed the rhetoric made by Pakistan on the Waqf law. India said that instead of preaching Pakistan to others, he should see the records of atrocities on minorities here.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal described Pakistan’s statement as unfounded and baseless. He insisted that the neighboring country has no right to make rhetoric on India’s internal affairs.
Jaiswal said- When it comes to protecting the rights of minorities, Pakistan should look at its own bad records instead of preaching others.
Pakistani newspapers described the Waqf Bill against Muslims Amid the ongoing controversy over the Waqf law in India, many Pakistani newspapers described this bill against Indian Muslims. The Nation wrote that Waqf Board plays an important role in the supervision of Muslim affairs. The BJP government does not accept this limited self -government of the Waqf Board.
At the same time, Pakistani army pro -newspaper Dawn accused the BJP government of legalizing the land grab. It was said that through this bill, the aim of the government is to benefit its close businessman.
Waqf law came into force on 5 April The Waqf Amendment Bill (now Law) passed on April 2 after a discussion of 12-12 hours in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha on 3 April. After this, President Draupadi Murmu approved the bill late on 5 April. The government has issued a gazette notification regarding the new law. The central government will issue separate notifications regarding the date of implementation of the law.
During the discussion on the bill, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju had said- The purpose of the law is to prevent bias, misuse and encroachment in Waqf properties. The bill was supported by 128 members in the Rajya Sabha, 95 protested. This bill was passed in the midnight of 2 April in the Lok Sabha. During this period, 288 MPs voted in support and 232 in protest.
