Actress Barkha Bisht has been in the industry for a long time. Barkha has also acted in the film and OTT besides television. The actress revealed that Ekta Kapoor had filed a case against Balaji Telefilms leaving the show.
Was 23 years old when Ekta sent notice
In an interview to Siddharth Kannan, Barkha says- ‘I started my career with Ekta Kapoor. I was 23 when Ekta Kapoor sued me. His lawyers were sending not notice to me. I started getting upset but I did not tell anyone in my house. I myself did a lawyer and fought the case for a year.
I came to fight home and become an actress. In such a situation, I could not go back and complain to them. I came to speak to the family, who will do myself. I used to go to court hearing along with shooting for my new show. I am thankful that Ekta withdrew the case over time. This was the period, when I wanted Ekta, my career could become and it could have deteriorated. Even today, he is so powerful.
Barkha started her career in 2004 MTV India show ‘Kisi Mast Hai Zindagi Se’. It was a tin drama. Ekta’s production company Balaji Telefilmus produced the show.
Barkha worked in several shows with Ekta from 2004 to 2005. Talking about films, the actress did an item number in Prakash Jha’s film ‘Politics’. After that she appeared in many films. Talking about the workfront, Barkha recently appeared in Ekta Kapoor’s web series ‘Power of five’.
