My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful 2 week vacation at this resort, from our home in Canada. Below, is a detailed review of the resort and what you can expect when booking your; all inclusive beach vacation at this lovely Iberostar resort.
The Iberostar Origin Bella Costa All Inclusive Resort
Upon arrival at the hotel, we were warmly greeted by reception and the hotel’s manager, welcoming us to the hotel. A refreshing tropical drink was served at check in as well!
We were quickly checked in and our luggage was taken to our guest room by a porter.

Superb Amenities At The Iberostar Origin Bella Costa
This is an older and smaller hotel, taken over by the {Iberostar Brand} a short while ago. They have and are still continuing to make upgrades to the hotel, at the time of our visit, a few seasons ago.

Free Wi-Fi Throughout Resort (5 hours per person included).
All Guest Room Categories Include;
✔ Television;

✔ Iron and ironing board;
✔ Telephone;
✔ In-room safe;
✔ Bathroom equipped with bathtub and shower;
✔ Mini-fridge;
✔ King or 2 twin beds;
✔ 2 Large Bottles of Purified Water in room each day;
✔ Free wi-fi.
Stylish Beachfront Bungalow Guestroom
We were so pleased with our very spacious; Beachfront Bungalow Guestroom. It came complete with {King Bed} and an additional, separate sitting area.
Our king bed was very comfortable and of a new brand.
We were pleasantly surprised and it was much more, than we had expected!
Our extra large guestroom, included a separate and comfortable sitting area complete with a door, for privacy from the main room.
The guest room bath was always kept very clean and equipped with the usual toiletries, one would expect in a guest room of this star rating.
Even though this is an older hotel, our room and bath area were kept very clean throughout. It was kept this way and cleaned daily for our entire stay, by our amazing housekeeper!
To make this guest room absolutely complete, was the amazing beachfront view from our balcony.
It simply can’t get any better than this!
A Variety Of Guest Rooms At Iberostar Origin Bella Costa
This resort has an assortment of guest rooms to choose from including;
Bungalow Suite;
Standard Guestroom Without Balcony;
Double With Balcony;
Sea View Double;
Bungalow;
Suite.
I had the opportunity to view a typical standard guest room with balcony, during our stay.
The guest room was kept spotless and very comfortable looking as well. It came complete with all the standard room amenities, you would expect.
Dining At Iberostar Origin Bella Costa
Carey Buffet Restaurant
This all inclusive resort includes; main buffet restaurant, outdoor snack bar, a lovely open air beach front buffet for lunch, along with … 3 themed a la carte restaurant choices, for dinner.
The Carey Buffet Restaurant, is located indoors and open for breakfast and dinner. They offer a wide variety of food choices at both times, surely to satisfy most everyone.
During this terrible time of covid, each station of the buffet included a staff member. Very friendly restaurant staff were ready to serve you directly and attended to all your needs, while seated.
El Mirador Restaurant
The El Mirador is open for lunch and also used as an; a la carte dinner venue.
It’s a lovely open air beachfront restaurant, serving a great buffet lunch.
It’s a beautiful picturesque beachfront location, to enjoy a nice afternoon lunch. In the evening hours, this restaurant is also used for themed; a la carte specialty dining.
Outdoor Beachfront Cuban Buffet
As a special treat on Thursdays and weather permitting, a wonderful outdoor Cuban picnic buffet, is set up for lunch. This was located just off the main pool area and close to the beach.
They served a superb selection of food items, including; bar-b-que choices, in this afternoon outdoor buffet that we enjoyed during our stay.
Just another great addition to compliment your stay, complete with live; Cuban entertainment, for all guests to enjoy!
From dancers to live musicians to entertain you at lunch, it’s great fun!
Snack Bar
For those looking for something lighter throughout the day, there’s a small {Snack Bar}, located just off the pool and bar area.
They served superb; hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and pizza. All made fresh upon order!
A La Carte Dining
There are 3 themed a la carte restaurant nights to choose from, throughout the week. Depending on the day of week, you have a choice of;
As well and located next to the; La Fuente Lobby Bar, guests can enjoy a variety of … freshly made coffees at the – Café las Fuente.
Iberostar Bella Costa – Resort Bars
There are four bars throughout the resort, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, throughout the day and into the late evening hours.
La Fuente Lobby Bar
This is the main cocktail bar, which is located next to the reception area in the lobby. It’s a great place to sit, relax and enjoy a drink before dinner, or at anytime, during the day and evening hours.
Las Brisas Pool Bar
The choices of beverage are numerous, with wonderful bartenders and servers, ready to prepare your favorite drink for you!
This is the main outdoor bar, which is frequented by most guests throughout the day, as well as into the evening hours. They also serve specialty blends of ☕ coffee as well, for your convenience.
It’s a fun area to hang out and get to know your fellow guests and staff. This is also where activities take place next to the main pool, during the daytime.
Swimming Pools
Besides being next to one of the most highly rated beaches in the world, there are also; two main freshwater swimming pools, located next to the Pool Bar. One of the pools is a separate shallow children’s pool, next to the main pool.
There’s plenty of lounge chairs around the swimming pools and down at the beach, along with a few; Palapas/Sun shelters.
Friendly staff are always available to take your drink orders. Either, while relaxing around the pool or down on the beach.
There is a towel service desk by the pool area, where you can get fresh towels each day!
Poolside & Beach Activities
On the beach, your all inclusive vacation includes;
⛵ Kayaking;
⛵ Pedal boats;
⛵ Paddle Boards;
⛵ Sailing Excursion.
Just head down to the beachfront, where you will find the beach station. Resort staff will get you all set up for some fun water activities!
Life guards are also located down on the beach and around the pools for your added safety.
Beach attendants are experienced sailors and more than happy to take you out for a; short ⛵ sail excursion, at your request.

If you’re looking to hit the links on your getaway, head over to ⛳ Varadero Golf Club. It’s conveniently located, right next door to the Origin Bella Costa.
We had a wonderful stay and are now definitely sold on the; Iberostar Brand. If you’re looking for a smaller sized and very affordable all inclusive beach resort, together with exceptional staff and excellent customer service, then look no further.
✔ Guest rooms are very clean and comfortable, wi-fi was excellent in our room and throughout the hotel, at all times.
We were also very impressed with Iberostar no longer using plastic cups and straws, switching to washable, reusable drinking cups and cardboard straws.
