Every year millions of candidates prepare for UPSC Exam (UPSC Exam), but only a few of them are successful in this exam. Some of the successful candidates go to IAS, some IPS and some in IFS or any other service. When and why transfer?

In general, an IAS officer is given the opportunity to serve for at least two years in a district. But due to deteriorating law and order, administrative disagreement or political reasons, the officer can be transferred before that.

According to the Department of Personnel and Training – DOPT, the process of transfer of IAS is done with the consent of the Central and State Governments. The state government usually transferred, but if the matter is related to the central government, then the final decision is taken from the center.

Where is training?

Let us tell you that after passing UPSC Exam, IAS candidates are sent for training in Mussoorie. After taking training here, when the IAS officers reach their cadre state, then the probation period has to be served. Where they have to work under the collector.

How much salary is available?

After the probation time is over, the state government posts the officer in the districts. In such a situation, they have to work in posts like Joint Magistrate, SDM. Initially, the IAS officer gets a salary of Rs 56,100 under the 7th Pay Commission. Apart from this, various facilities are also provided to them. Which includes DA, HRA, TA etc.
