By the year 2050, India will become the largest Hindu and Muslim population country in the world. In a study report by PU Research Center, it has been estimated that the Muslim population in India is increasing rapidly and by this time it will be much higher by 2050.
According to the report, India will remain the largest center of Hinduism, but at the same time the Muslim population here will also be the highest compared to any other country. However, India will remain a multicultural and multi -religious country where followers of many religions will be able to live peacefully. & Nbsp;
Muslims will have the highest population
India is already a major center of most Hindus in the world. In 2010, 94% of the global Hindu population lives in India and this trend is expected to continue by 2050. According to estimates, by 2050 there will be 1.3 billion Hindus in India.
At the same time, by 2050, the Muslim population in India is expected to reach 311 million (31.1 crore), which will be about 11% of the global Muslim population. With this, India will become the most Muslim population country in the world, while at present Indonesia has the highest number of Muslims in the world.
Population is growing rapidly & nbsp;
The population of Muslims in India is likely to grow faster than Hindus, mainly due to their low average age and high fertility rate. In 2010, the average age of Indian Muslims was 22 years, while Hindus were 26 years and Christians were 28 years old. Similarly, there are 3.2 children per Muslim women, while this figure is 2.5 in Hindu women and 2.3 in Christian women.
Due to these factors, the Muslim population in India is expected to increase from 14.4% in 2010 to 18.4% by 2050. However, by 2050, the number of Hindus will remain more than three-fourths of the Indian population (76.7%). Interestingly, the number of Hindus in India in 2050 will be more than the total Muslim population of the five largest Muslim countries of the world (India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Nigeria and Bangladesh)."Text-Align: justify;"> Learn how much will be the number of Christians
There are also many small religious minority communities in India. In 2010, about 2.5% of the total population of the country was Christians. By 2050, the population of Christians in India is likely to be reduced to 2.2%. However, the report also states that religious diversity will remain in India, and the presence of all communities will keep the country’s cultural identity strong.
