Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, Harshvardhan Rane and Mavra Hocaine’s film ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ has been in the news since re-localize. Its second part has also been announced, which the director couple is also very happy. Meanwhile, he had a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar.

This discussion started from there when a journalist came to us and he said that he fired a rapid. I said, ‘Okay’. He asked that the question of fans is whether Salman Khan can come in ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’. I told him, ‘Right and ask.’ Who will be the director who would not like to do a film with Salman Khan. Then we have made lucky-no time for love with them before. He is our mentor. If he had not given us a chance to work with him for the first time, we would not have reached this point today.
What was the reason that the popularity of this film gradually increased?
We also wrote and directed its story. When we were writing its story, I and Radhika ji were threading each thing very closely in it. Radhika ji writes the story. I write screenplays and dialogues. While we were working on the story, I used to see from my cabin that Radhika ji was crying. When I ask them why they are crying, she would say that I am writing a scene which is very emotional. There is a father who asks the daughter to perform her pindadan and the daughter says, ‘Whatever the parents give, the above, calls her OK.’ There were many such elements that touched the hearts of the audience. We had to make a story about Youngsters, which reminds every lover’s love. I and Radhika decided that we would serve something that has been written in our scriptures. Be associated with our culture. It is said that if the father does not bless the daughter at the time of marriage, then her marriage cannot be successful. We were completely sure about our story. We wanted to do this film along with newcomers.
The producer says that different stories are being worked out. What would you say?
When we wrote its first part, then I also wrote the second part. From where the film ends, new will also start from there. This is an internal love story. I have written the original film. Its characters are released from our mind. The journey of this story is ours. Now work is being done on different stories on it. I do not know much about this. The rest of the audience who came to see it again and gave it love is amazing. At that time no one was coming forward to finance our film. We also needed songs in it. Then Himesh supported us. He called us at home and there he heard a scene from us, then agreed to work immediately. He gave us the title ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, which was of a film by Kamal Haasan ji. He gave this title for free.
Can ‘Sanam Teri …’ could not be made the same franchise that the title remained there and the story should be new?
There was no thought to do so, because this story was written at the same time. Now what will happen on this, he cannot say now. According to our story, a lot has to be done in the life of Saru and Inder. Where the film is over, it can be called interval. Radhika and I like to make youth stories. In the beginning of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, people said that what do you want to show in a love story? Put the English word in its title. Remove it from the rituals and take it into a modern form. This is a regressive story. You can see that boys and girls are living in living relationship. Where is the time from where it has gone? Marriage has become an outdated thing. Change the angle of the story, but did not listen to anyone and go to the same rhythm that wanted to walk.
What projects do you have next?
Right now we are doing a film with Himesh Reshammiya ji. We will also have a project with Bhushan Kumar. We have been associated with them for a long time.
