In view of heavy snowfall, the Lahaul Spiti administration has issued an alert for falling avalanche (avalanche) in the district. In areas with high slopes, snow mountains fall can cause damage. For this, local people have been advised to take precautions including tourists.

3 feet snow in Rohtang Pass
Apart from Lahaul Spiti, there is also light snowfall in the high areas of Kinnaur, Mandi, Chamba and Kinnaur. The Rohtang Pass has received fresh snowfall up to three feet. There has been two feet on the North portal of Koksar and Atal Tunnel, a quarter of two feet on the South Portal of Atal Tunnel.
The plains and medium altitude areas of the state have been raining for two days. Due to this, the people of the state have also breathed a sigh of relief from drought.
Orange alert of snowfall today and tomorrow
According to the Meteorological Department, Western Disturbance will remain active in the state for the next 3 days. This is expected to have good rain and snowfall on the mountains. For today and tomorrow, the Meteorological Department has given Orange Alert of Heavy Snowfall to Kangra, Chamba, Mandi and Kullu districts.
Yellow alert in these districts
Yellow alert has been issued for snowfall in Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts. Thunderstorms and storms can also be carried out in these districts. Similarly, a yellow alert of cold waves has been issued in Una, Hamirpur and Bilaspur districts.
220 roads and 250 electric transformers closed
After fresh snowfall in Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti, more than 220 roads and 250 electric transformers have come to a standstill. Due to this, electricity has been lost in people’s homes.
