Himachal Pradesh has performed brilliantly in the 5th Khelo India Winter Games 2025 played in Gulmarg, Kashmir. Himachal won a total of 18 medals and finished second in the country. Army team finished first with 7 gold medals, while Himachal got 6 gold, 5 silver

This competition of ski and mountaineering race was played in Gulmarg from 9 to 12 March. On the first day of the championship, the team won silver and bronze medals in the women’s vertical race. Gold and silver medals were received in this event on the second day. Won bronze medal in men’s relay race on the third day and gold medal in women’s relay race on the fourth day.

State Union member Kapil Negi credited this success to the training camps of Manali MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaur. The state ski mountaineering championship held in Hamta, Manali in January, has also enhanced the skills of the players.
