Here are a few great ways to save bucks, when planning your trip to London.
London Currency
The UK’s currency is the; Pound Sterling (£ / GBP). Despite being a member of the European Union, the UK has not adopted the Euro. There are 100 pence (p) to the pound (£).
Booking Your Flight To London

It is surprising how many people overlook this, when planning their trip which is; ✈ air travel. ✈ There are ways to save a great deal of money, when booking your flights to London.
Try booking directly with your desired airline, they may have airfare deal promotions, going on at certain times of the year. Also, check or ask what days and flight times, offer the lowest fares. If you’re flexible, you can save a ton of money on airfare.

Many airlines now have 📅 Fare Comparison Calendars on their websites, showing the; cheapest days and times to fly.
Another great option and if you’re {flexible} on dates, is to sign up for; 🛫 Google Flight Alerts. This is a great way to find out if a particular flight you’re interested in, has or will drop in price.

In addition to this, make sure that you are deselecting a meal option (where applicable), while you are booking that flight. With exception of long haul flights where meals are usually included, paying for a meal, in flight can be costly and normally not that great either. 🙁
At least these days, in 💺 economy class.
If you really want to save money, don’t pre-book your seats, (unless you have special requirements). Airlines do charge a high sum for; 💺 seat selection these days.
Accommodations In London

🛌 Accommodation normally accounts for a major portion of your expenses, especially if your trip is an extended one. If looking for hotel accommodations, the best way to save money, is first check a few, 3rd party reputable hotel booking websites first.
Then go directly to a chosen hotels website, to compare prices.
Many times, booking directly with the 🏨 hotel, may be your best option. They often offer online specials that may not be featured, on booking engines. I have often saved money booking directly on a; 💻 hotels website.
🛌 Airbnb is another great option for saving money!
A website called londonhotels4u has a secret hotels London offer. Often times, you can get accommodation at some of the most opulent hotels of the city, at surprisingly economical prices. 🙂
Travel Around London At Pocket Friendly Prices

🚊 As soon as you land into the city, make sure that you grab an; 🎴 Oyster Card, for public transit. The cost of an {Oyster card} is minimal and will save you a huge amount of money, while you travel in and around the city.
With an Oyster card pass, fares are a third, of a normal transit ticket!
If you are staying in London for more than 4 days, then it is best if you invest a little more on a; 🎫 London Pass. A 6-day London Pass provides free access to public transportation in the city by; tubes, buses or trams and with a huge savings discount.

In addition to this, a London Pass usually provides a one-time free entry, to over 60 attractions in the city.

Then be sure to visit toptable.co.uk and save up to 50% at some of the best restaurants, in the city. Their website offers superb discounts on meals. Along with great discounts, you can also collect points on their website.
Points, you can eventually use towards a free meal, once you have earned enough.
Traveling Out Of London

If you have plans to visit tourist attractions outside the city of London, then it’s best if you 🎟 buy return tickets if planning to; 🚃 travel by rail. You can pretty much get anywhere in Britain by rail, quickly and easily!
Return tickets are usually more economical, than single one way tickets.

Be sure to visit the many 🆓 free attractions offered in the city. London is full of attractions that are not only alluring, but free-of-charge too! 😃

There’s various other interesting museums in the city, that don’t charge admission. fees. London may be one of the most expensive cities of the world but that doesn’t mean, that you can’t travel to the city on a budget.
Use the tips given above and you can make a visit to {London Town} quite affordable!
