Lu is expected to run in several districts of Odisha and West Bengal for the next two days.
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of Heatwave in Odisha, West Bengal, and Gujarat on Sunday. At the same time, due to strong winds in North India, temperature can be recorded.
The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 15.5 degrees Celsius on Saturday (29 March). It was 2.6 degrees less than normal. The temperature dropped by 7 degrees due to the cold winds coming from the mountains in Rajasthan.
Today, the northwest states including Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan are likely to blow winds at a speed of 20-30 kmph. This can reduce the temperature to 2-3 degrees.
Here the temperature of Chhattisgarh reached 43 degrees on Friday in Rajnandgaon. Lu is expected to run in several districts of Odisha and West Bengal for the next two days.

How will the weather be the next 2 days? Light rain and hailstorm are expected to fall in some areas of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Marathwada on 1-2 April. Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior will be cloudy. It is possible to drop temperature by 2–4 degrees.
Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Rajasthan may have strong winds at a speed of 30-40 kmph. This is estimated to drop the temperature to 3 degrees. There may be light rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal and Uttarakhand.
In Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Assam, the mercury can reach 42 degrees. Also, there will be light rain in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The effect of heat will remain in Gujarat and Maharashtra.
