Gujarat Titans New Owner IPL 2025: The Gujarat Titans franchise has got a new owner even before the start of IPL 2025. Ahmedabad -based Torrent Group has bought 67 percent stake in GT franchise. The ownership of this team was earlier with the Irelia Company Private Limited, which the CVC Capital Partners manages. Earlier, the 100 percent stake of the Gujarat team was with the Irelia Company. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has also approved the transaction of money.
On the purchase of the team, the Torrent Group issued an official statement saying, “All the conditions have been accepted and we have completed the process of the team’s acquisition.” The Torrent Group now has 67 percent stake in the team, while 33 percent shares will still be with the Ireli company. Remind you that the Torrent Group had given information about the deal signing on February 12 and the entire process has been finalized before the IPL 2025 starts.
The Gujarat Titans were established in the year 2022 and in the first season, the team won the IPL 2022 title under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya. At the same time, this team was runner -up in the next year i.e. IPL 2023. Right now the captain of this team is Shubman Gill and Ashish Nehra is the head coach of the team. The homeground of Gujarat is Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The first match of Gujarat Titans, who was once a IPL champion, will be with Punjab Kings on 25 March. After that the team has to play their second match against Mumbai Indians on 29 March.
