The Grammy Award Nominated R&B Singer Angie Stone has died in the car accident on Saturday at the age of 63. The accident took place in Montgomery, Alabama.
She was known for her participation in the hip-hop trio the sequence. Angie Stone was a member of the all-female hip-hop-trio the sequence and was known for her hit songs Vish I Did Not Miss You.
The manager told how the accident happened
Walter Millsap III, the music producer and manager of the Stone’s Angie Stone, sent an email to the Associated Press, “At around 4 am, the car from which the singer was going back to Atlanta from Alabama, turned back and collided with a big truck.” He said that all the people except Stone in the cargo van survived.
Officers are investigating the accident
Alabama Highway Petrol said in a press release that 2021 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van overturned at around 4:25 am on Saturday morning and then collided with a 2021 freightline caccadia truck run by a Texas’s 33-year-old man. Highway Petrol said Angie Stone died on the spot. The accident occurred about 8 km south of Montgomery city. The sprinter driver and seven other people in the van were taken to the Baptist Medical Center for treatment. Officers are investigating the accident.
