Verdi Union with 25 lakh government employees of the country announced this strike demanding to increase salary. According to the time of Germany, the strike was to begin on Monday, but it was started one day before the scheduled time on Sunday itself.

Workers Union demand- salary should be increased by 8%
Workers are demanding an 8% salary increase for union airport employees or at least 34 thousand rupees (350 euros) per month in salary. For the past several months, the Workers Union had been talking about a new agreement for employees.
Under this agreement, there was a demand that the health and security of corporate workers be improved, more holidays should be given, an increase in annual bonus by 50% and the employees should be freed to choose a doctor for regular and compulsory medical tests of employees.

Hamburg Airport spokesperson Katja Brom said- Trade Union behavior is dishonest. On Monday, 143 flights flying from the airport have been canceled. This strike has been started without any notice.
He said that at this time the holiday season is going on in the country, due to which people are facing huge problems. It is expected that the normal operation will start at the airport from Monday evening itself.
Brome said that Sunday’s protests are harassing thousands of passengers who have nothing to do with this whole matter.
At the same time, a spokesperson of Verdi Union said that we believe that many people will be affected by this strike, but we had to create this problem to get a better offer from the government.
