Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his country “needs help like never before.” His comments came in a press conference after about 25 countries convened for the second round of talks hosted by UK PM Keir Starmer. Zelensky said the talks were becoming an “almost weekly” occurrence and included countries outside of Europe, including Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Zelensky added there would be another meeting around a week’s time. Zelensky has repeatedly voiced Ukraine’s support for the 30-day full ceasefire proposal. He said Russia will attempt to derail talks with conditions and that he hopes the U.S. will be able to persuade Moscow to an agreement. Zelensky said Russia was aiming to encircle troops in Kursk but from Ukrainian territory as he denied reports as fabricated by Russia that Ukrainian troops were encircled there.
