Bird flu in Chhindwara has increased concern after the death of pet cats. The administration has issued an alert regarding this. For 30 days, mutton-chickens and egg purchases have been banned. Also seal all mutton and chicken shops in the infected area

Actually, around 18 cats had died in the district recently. After which on January 15, on January 15 and 22, 3 cats were sent to the National Institute of Wirers in Pune for investigation. In the report on 31 January, two of these domestic cats samples H5N1 (bird flu) were found positive. This is the first time in the country, when a bird flu has been found in domestic cats.
Veterinary Officer Dr. GS Pakhwar told that

The shops from which the raw meat was fed to the dead cats was sampled at the Vicky Chicken Center and the Navalty Center, which confirmed the bird flu. Mutton, chicken and eggs were destroyed in the respective area by following protocols in the affected area. Also, their purchase sale in the market was banned.
Report of all 65 persons negative The CMHO formed a team after the H5N1 positive in the sample of 2 cats in a sample taken by the Animal Department in the urban area Chhindwara. The team had sent the National Institute of Wirology, Pune to investigate the samples H5N1 of 65 persons who came in contact with cats in the infected sector. The risk of H5N1 in Chhindwara has been postponed in Chhindwara due to the report of all 65 samples negative. However, the Health Department is constantly monitoring the status.

All shops closed for a month After the confirmation of bird flu in cats on 31 January, the administration took strict steps and sealed all mutton and chicken shops for 30 days in infected areas. The district administration, taking action, declared mutton and chicken shops and surrounding areas as a containment zone. Ward number 6, 7, 8, 28, 29, 30, 31, 41 and 45 of the municipal corporation were declared infected. Along with this, Municipal Corporation area and Gram Panchayat Linga have been kept in the monitoring area.
The administration took these steps:
- All chicken shops and poultry forms were immediately discontinued.
- The sale and transport of chicken and poultry products was banned.
- All the chickens and their products in the infected area have been ordered to be destroyed.

The district administration has taken action and declared these shops and surrounding areas as a containment zone.
Health Department alert-chicken and not eat eggs The Health Department has appealed to the citizens to not consume chicken and eggs after taking samples from the families of chicken shop owners and cattle ranchers in the affected areas. Also, do not feed raw meat to your pets. Immediately inform the sick or dead birds to the administration.
Given the danger of bird flu, the administration is completely cautious and is constantly monitoring. Appeal has been made to the citizens to be vigilant and follow the guidelines.
Collector’s appeal- Follow guidelines Chhindwara Collector Shilendra Singh told that

After the report comes positive, the respective area of the shops, including the death of cats, has declared an area of 1 km as an infected area. The guide line is being followed for the prevention of spread to the virus.
40 thousand eggs destroyed and 500 chickens and malers buried After the report came, the administration seized 40 thousand eggs from the mutton market area, taking vigilance. Also, 500 chickens and malers were seized and the pit was dug and buried near the city outside the city.
