A bogie of Ahmedabad-Barauni Express near Itarsi caught fire.
A fire broke out in a moving train bogie near Itarsi in Narmadapuram district of Madhya Pradesh. This incident is being reported near Khutwasa railway station between Itarsi and Banapura at around 4 pm on Monday afternoon.

The incident took place in Ahmedabad-Barauni Express. The train, running from Ahmedabad to Barauni, left for Itarsi from Khandwa at around 2 pm. After leaving Dharmakundi station, the train guard saw smoke coming out near Khamba number 724/12. After which the train was suddenly stopped. The passengers were stirred by the train stopping and the fire.
After the fire, the train was kept standing for about a quarter of an hour. Later, the train was separated and the train was dispatched. Efforts are on to extinguish the fire. Due to this fire incident, traffic on the railway down track coming from Khandwa to Itarsi was stopped.
Generator and parcel bogie caught fire The last of the train caught fire in the generator and parcel bogie. This bogie was filled with steel vessel cartoons. Due to this, a lot of smoke started to rise with the fire. After which the employees working in the generator coach also came out immediately. Fire brigade was called after information.
