Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has announced to launch an internship program for its various labs and projects in 2025. Under this internship, undergraduate and postgraduate students will get a chance, who want to work in the field related to their studies.
How to apply for internship
If you are interested in DRDO’s Internship 2025, you must first select a DRDO lab or establishment based on your academic background and interest. Next, you can apply through your college or university. The selection will depend on the eligibility of the candidate and the approval of the lab director, and the number of internships will be limited.
Know who can apply
This internship is for students who have undergraduate or postgraduate engineering degree or whose degree is related to general science. The age of the candidate should be between 19 and 28 years to apply.
Internship details
The official notification of DRDO states that interns will only be reached to uncured areas of DRDO labs/installations. Apart from this, it has also been said that DRDO is not obliged to give jobs to students after completing training. DRDO will not be responsible for a personal injury caused by any accident. The duration of the internship can usually range from 4 weeks to 6 months, but it will depend on the consent of the lab director.

The applications will be sent to the DRDO lab or establishment through the student’s institute or college.
This scheme does not come under the Apprentice Act of 1961.

Salary will be received during internship
During the internship, the selected students will be given monthly salary from Rs 8,000 to Rs 15,000, which will depend on their educational qualification and project.
