Dino Moriya recently compared the film Raj to Devdas of Shah Rukh Khan in an interview. He said that Devdas was a more budget film and was released on a large scale, while Raj was released on a small scale. Nevertheless, Raj earned better than Devdas. However, despite this he did not receive any award, which he is quite disappointed.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Dino Moriya said, ‘The film Raj was a big hit. Shah Rukh Khan’s Devdas was also released in the same year. But if you look at the earnings and expenses of both films, then our film (Raj) earned more than Devdas and she also proved to be a big hit of that year.
Dino further said, ‘Even after this we got only two awards. Bipasha and I received the New Jodi Award, while Raj’s songs were so popular that people still listen to her. But still we did not get any award for songs.
Earning both films
According to Second, Devdas’s budget was Rs 30 crore and he earned around 90 crores worldwide, while Raj earned Rs 35 crore and his budget was around Rs 5 crore.

The film Devdas was released in 2002. The film featured stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Madhuri Dixit, Jackie Shroff, Kiran Kher. Shah Rukh also received the Best Actor Award for this film, while Raj was also released the same year. Dino Moriya and Bipasha Basu were seen in it.
